Inkmill Vinyl helps with a Special Christmas Gift from GBBO’s Mary Berry, Mel and Sue.

So it’s January and back to work!  We hope you’ve all had a lovely break and are looking forward to a busy year ahead.

Whilst we were away something very special happened! On Christmas Eve BBC One aired a programme which reunited the old Great British Bake Off trio of Mary Berry, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins to deliver a special gift to a community in Wales. We were really pleased to donate vinyl wall decals to decorate the walls of the community centre as part of the makeover in this project. It started off in November when we received a phone call from the production company asking if we would like to help on a community project featuring some the BBC’s best known stars. We knew very little about the project and had no idea of the stars involved but of course we were happy to help. The designers specified which vinyls they would like to use and we put them into production sent them off and then had to wait until the programme was scheduled before we knew anything more.

It is an uplifting story as Mary, Mel and Sue help Buffy, who set up the community centre,  throw the locals an unforgettable surprise Christmas party, with Mary in charge of the Christmas feast and Mel and Sue on decorating duty. The threesome get to know the locals as they work against the clock to pull together the best bash the Rhondda Valley has ever seen, and reveal special surprises that ensure the centre survives and thrives for years to come.
